VisitQatari, Egyptian Leaders Meet Hamas in Doha to Break Gaza Ceasefire Stalemate
Sep 11, 2024, 07:03 PM
Qatar's Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egypt's intelligence chief Abbas Kamel met with Hamas negotiators in Doha on Wednesday to discuss the latest developments in Gaza. The meeting aimed to break the deadlock in the Gaza hostage and ceasefire deal talks. Hamas reiterated its readiness to implement an 'immediate' ceasefire based on a previous U.S. proposal, without accepting new conditions from any party. The discussions also involved the potential withdrawal of Israeli forces from the entire Gaza Strip. Earlier, the Qatari PM met with Israeli hostages' families in Paris, vowing to clinch a Gaza deal.
