The Port of Los Angeles experienced a record-breaking month in July, processing 939,600 twenty-foot equivalent units, marking a 37% increase over the previous year. This surge in activity made it the busiest month in more than two years and the best July in the port’s 116-year history. The increase was driven by U.S. retailers rushing to import holiday goods early amid fears of strikes and supply chain disruptions.
