VisitPoland Signs $10 Billion Deal for 96 Apache Helicopters
Aug 13, 2024, 03:17 PM
Poland has signed a $10 billion agreement with the United States to purchase 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. This acquisition is part of Poland's efforts to bolster its military capabilities in response to regional security concerns, particularly following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The deal makes Poland the 19th operator of the Apache helicopters and positions it as the second-largest user of these aircraft globally, after the U.S. Army. The contract includes a logistics package to support the aircraft's integration into the Polish armed forces.
