Philippines Reports 10th Mpox Case, First Since December

The Philippines has reported a new case of mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, marking the first detection in the country since December 2023. This case, which is the tenth in the Philippines, involves a 33-year-old Filipino male with no travel history. The Department of Health reported the case on August 18, shortly after the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a public health emergency of international concern.
