VisitPhilip Morris to Invest $600M in Aurora Plant, Creating 500 Jobs for Zyn Nicotine Pouches
Jul 16, 2024, 02:44 PM
Philip Morris International (PMI) has announced a significant investment of $600 million to establish a new manufacturing facility in Aurora, Colorado. The plant will focus on producing Zyn nicotine pouches, a smokeless tobacco alternative that has seen a surge in demand. This investment is expected to create 500 jobs and will be executed over the next two years, with operations anticipated to begin by 2026. The new facility aims to address the national shortage of Zyn products, which have been experiencing stock-outs since May 2024. PMI currently operates two smokefree plants in Kentucky and North Carolina. The announcement was made on July 16, 2024.
