A Philadelphia police officer was critically injured after being shot in the head and neck during a traffic stop on the 3500 block of F Street in North Philadelphia. The incident occurred shortly before 8 PM, and the officer was rushed to Temple University Hospital. The suspect, a Hispanic male, initially fled the scene but was later apprehended by SWAT on the 800 block of Schiller Street. The shooting took place after the Philadelphia Parking Authority arrived to tow the vehicle, and the suspect reportedly changed clothes afterward. The officer remains in critical condition in the ICU. Philadelphia Police Commissioner Bethel confirmed that all suspects and persons of interest are in custody and urged the public to pray for the officer.
