VisitPennsylvania Judge Allows Elon Musk's America PAC $1 Million Voter Giveaway to Proceed Through Election
Nov 4, 2024, 10:08 PM
Elon Musk's daily $1 million voter giveaway can proceed, Pennsylvania Judge Angelo Foglietta has ruled. The judge declined to issue an injunction requested by Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, who argued that the sweepstakes, run by Musk's pro-Trump America PAC, was an illegal lottery in violation of state law. Musk's lawyer contended that the winners are not picked at random, and that Musk will not be 'bullied' over the giveaway. The sweepstakes, offering daily $1 million prizes to registered voters in swing states including Pennsylvania, is set to end on November 5, ahead of Tuesday's presidential election. The judge's ruling allows the giveaway to continue through the election.
