Penn State's Board of Trustees has approved a $700 million renovation plan for Beaver Stadium, the second-largest stadium by capacity in the U.S. The extensive renovation will include widened concourses, new escalators, videoboards, and a 21,000 sq. ft. welcome center. Additionally, winterization work will be done to potentially host a College Football Playoff (CFP) game. The upgrades are expected to be completed before the 2027 college football season, with a target completion date of August 2027. The renovation aims to address the deteriorating press box, which has seen minimal investment since 1960.
