VisitPenguin Random House Amends Copyright Rules Globally to Prohibit AI Training
Oct 19, 2024, 05:10 AM
Penguin Random House, the world's largest publishing house, has amended its copyright rules globally to explicitly prohibit the use of its books for training artificial intelligence technologies. This new copyright notice will be included in both new titles and reprints. Penguin Random House is believed to be the first of the Big Five anglophone trade publishers to implement such a measure. The move aims to protect authors from the unauthorized use of their works in AI training. The standard copyright page on both new and reprinted books will now reflect this change.
