VisitPatriots Trade Josh Uche to 7-0 Chiefs, Bolstering Defense for Super Bowl Run
Oct 28, 2024, 04:54 PM
The New England Patriots are trading pass rusher Josh Uche to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick. Uche, a second-round draft pick in 2020 from Michigan, has recorded 20.5 sacks in his career, including two this season. He was a healthy scratch in the Patriots' recent win over the Jets, anticipating the trade. Despite turning down more money elsewhere in March to remain with the Patriots, saying, "There's nowhere else I'd rather be. I can't envision myself playing for another team," Uche now joins the undefeated 7-0 Chiefs. Kansas City, aiming for a historic third consecutive Super Bowl title, is strengthening its already formidable defense with the addition of Uche.
