The Patriots released a statement acknowledging the incident and noting that the police are currently investigating. Peppers informed Head Coach Jerod Mayo of the situation, and the team has notified the NFL. Mayo emphasized that any act of domestic violence is unacceptable, has addressed the team regarding the situation, and noted that Peppers is not currently with the team due to his court appearance and will not be in the near term.
