Paris-based Mistral AI Nears $600M Raise at $6B, Triple Previous Valuation

Mistral AI, a Paris-based French AI startup, is close to securing a funding deal that would value the company at approximately $6 billion, three times its valuation from December 2023 when it was valued at $2 billion. The company previously raised $500 million and is now reportedly raising around $600 million. Notably, while Softbank is not participating in this funding round, DST Global is involved. This funding is aimed at helping Mistral AI compete more effectively with major players in the AI field like OpenAI and Anthropic.
