Nov 7, 2024, 02:59 PM
The Carolina Panthers have signed running back Chuba Hubbard to a four-year, $33.2 million contract extension, including $15 million in fully guaranteed money. The deal, announced ahead of the team's game in Munich, has a maximum value of $37.2 million and an average annual salary of $8.3 million, making Hubbard the ninth highest-paid running back in the NFL. Hubbard, a former fourth-round pick, is on pace for a 1,000-yard season with 665 rushing yards and six touchdowns so far in 2024. Panthers Assistant General Manager Dan Morgan said, "We are excited to sign Chuba to an extension and keep him in Carolina. He exemplifies everything we want on and off the field. Chuba is passionate about football, is productive and is committed to his teammates and winning." The extension keeps Hubbard under contract through the 2028 season and reflects the team's commitment to building around homegrown, tone-setting playmakers.
