The Florida Panthers defeated the New York Rangers 3-1 at Madison Square Garden, handing the Rangers their first regulation loss of the season. Sergei Bobrovsky, the Panthers' goaltender, achieved his 400th career win, becoming the fastest goaltender in NHL history to reach this milestone in 707 games. Bobrovsky made 27 saves in the victory, which improved the Panthers' record to 5-3-1. Anton Lundell opened the scoring for the Panthers just 44 seconds into the game, followed by a goal from Carter Verhaeghe. Alexis Lafreniere scored the Rangers' lone goal. Bobrovsky is now 14th all-time in career wins and the first Russian to reach 400 wins.
