VisitPackers QB Jordan Love Suffers MCL Sprain, Out 3-6 Weeks
Sep 7, 2024, 10:25 AM
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love suffered a leg injury during the final seconds of the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. Love was helped off the field after his leg appeared to twist under Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter. Initial reports suggested a high ankle sprain, but subsequent evaluations ruled out an ankle injury. Love underwent an MRI, which revealed a sprained MCL, with his ACL remaining intact. The injury is not expected to be season-ending, but Love is projected to miss 3-6 weeks. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has not provided a definitive timeline for his return. Love's knee appeared to have popped during the incident. The team returned from Brazil, landing at Austin Straubel Airport, where Love was one of the first players to exit the plane.
