VisitOracle and AWS Partner to Launch Oracle Database@AWS with $99 Billion in RPOs
Sep 9, 2024, 09:43 PM
Oracle and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced a significant partnership to launch Oracle Database@AWS. This collaboration allows customers to accelerate migrations to AWS and drive innovation with seamless data integration across Oracle databases, AWS Analytics, and AWS advanced AI/ML services like Amazon Bedrock. The partnership is seen as a major shift, given AWS's previous stance of moving away from Oracle databases. Oracle's cloud database trade-off is now complete, and the deal has generated excitement on Wall Street, with Oracle reporting $99 billion in remaining performance obligations (RPOs). Larry Ellison and AWS CEO Matt Garman are set to discuss the details of this landmark multicloud partnership at CloudWorld. The service will also offer Oracle Autonomous Database on AWS infrastructure.
