OpenAI is experiencing significant revenue growth, with its monthly revenue reaching $300 million in August 2024, a 1,700% increase since the beginning of the year, according to the New York Times. The company expects to generate approximately $3.7 billion in annual sales for 2024. However, despite these impressive revenue figures, OpenAI anticipates a substantial loss of around $5 billion in 2024. The company currently has 300 million monthly users and plans to increase the price of its ChatGPT service, which currently charges roughly 10 million users a $20 monthly fee. OpenAI aims to raise this fee by $2 by the end of the year and has plans to increase it to $44 over the next five years. Additionally, OpenAI forecasts its revenue to grow to $11.6 billion in 2025 and around $100 billion by 2029.
