This milestone includes users of ChatGPT Team, Enterprise, and Edu, highlighting significant growth since April when the company reported 600,000 users, a 67% increase. The increase in paid users reflects the growing adoption of OpenAI's advanced large language model among businesses and educational institutions. Nearly half of these users are based in the U.S., with significant adoption also seen globally. The company launched its ChatGPT Enterprise product in August of the previous year, contributing to this rapid growth. OpenAI's success is also notable for its association with $MSFT.
