One Dead, Nine Injured, Including Three Children, in Nashville Shooting Near Tennessee State University Homecoming

A shooting occurred just after 5 p.m. on Saturday near Tennessee State University in Nashville during homecoming events, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old man and injuries to nine others, including three children. Metro Nashville Police Department reported that gunfire erupted between two groups, and some of those injured are believed to be involved in the shooting. Five victims were transported to the hospital by EMS, while five others arrived at the hospital later. The incident took place just blocks from the university campus as crowds gathered for homecoming celebrations. Authorities are investigating the shooting.
