VisitOlympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson Signs with Buffalo Bills as Defensive Tackle
May 31, 2024, 06:19 PM
Olympic gold medalist and two-time NCAA wrestling champion Gable Steveson has signed with the Buffalo Bills. Steveson, who won gold at the 2020 Olympics and was recently released by WWE, will be playing as a defensive tackle despite having no prior football experience. The 6-foot-1, 275-pound athlete first tried on football cleats during a recent workout with the Bills. Steveson's agent, Carter Chow, confirmed the signing, and the Bills have released punter Matt Haack to make room for him. Steveson aims to join Bob Hayes as one of the few athletes to win both an Olympic gold medal and a Super Bowl ring.
