Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has requested South Korean memory chip maker SK Hynix to expedite the supply of its next-generation HBM4 AI memory chips by six months. SK Hynix has announced plans to supply samples of 16-layer HBM3E chips in early 2025, with HBM4 chips now targeted for delivery in the second half of 2025.
