The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released a preliminary report on the March 26 incident involving the containership Dali, which collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, causing its collapse. The report indicates that the Dali experienced two electrical blackouts, one approximately 10 hours before leaving the Port of Baltimore and another shortly before the collision. These blackouts, triggered by unexpected tripping of electrical breakers, disabled critical equipment on the ship. The incident resulted in the deaths of six construction workers.
