Norway Achieves Record 94% EV Sales in August, Tesla Model Y Leads with 18.8% Market Share

Norway has set a new world record for electric vehicle (EV) sales, with 94% of all new passenger cars registered in August being battery-electric vehicles. This milestone was driven by generous tax incentives and strong sales of Tesla's Model Y, which accounted for 18.8% of the market. In total, 11,114 cars were sold, with Tesla leading the market, followed by Volkswagen, Toyota, and Volvo. The Norwegian Road Federation (OFV) reported these figures, highlighting the country's progress towards its goal of achieving 100% zero-emissions fleet by 2025.
