Norway has achieved a significant milestone in the adoption of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs). In September, 96.4% of all new car sales in Norway were purely electric, up from 90.0% previously. Tesla played a key role in this achievement, capturing 32.5% of the market with 4,210 units sold, making it the best-selling brand in the country. The Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car, accounting for 50% of Tesla's sales. This progress brings Norway closer to its target of selling 100% battery-driven models by next year. The market share was 1,567 basis points or 93% above the 3-month trailing average of 16.8%.
