A senior North Korean general was wounded in a recent Ukrainian missile strike in Russia's Kursk region, marking the first time a high-ranking North Korean military officer has been confirmed as a casualty in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, according to a Western official cited by the Wall Street Journal. The strike, which targeted a command post in Kursk Oblast, was reported to have used UK-supplied Storm Shadow missiles. This incident follows the deployment of over 10,000 North Korean troops to support Kremlin forces since August, highlighting the international dimensions of the conflict. Reports also indicate that 18 Russian officers and 3 North Korean officers were killed in the strike.
