A senior North Korean general, Colonel General Kim Yong Bok, was wounded in a recent Ukrainian strike in the Kursk region of Russia, according to a Western official cited by The Wall Street Journal. Kim Yong Bok, a prominent military figure and leader of North Korea's special forces, had been leading over 11,000 North Korean soldiers deployed to support Russian forces in Ukraine. This marks the first time that Western officials have confirmed a high-ranking North Korean military officer has become a casualty in the ongoing conflict.
