VisitNorth Korea to Send More Troops, Kamikaze Drones to Russia Amid 1,100 Casualties in Ukraine War

North Korea is preparing to send additional troops and weapons, including kamikaze drones, to Russia to support its war efforts against Ukraine, according to South Korea's military. The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) reported that North Korea is currently supplying 240mm rocket launchers and 170mm self-propelled artillery to Russia, and there are signs that it is moving towards the production and supply of suicide drones. Approximately 12,000 North Korean troops are already deployed in Russia, with at least 1,100 having been killed or wounded in the conflict. The deepening military cooperation between North Korea and Russia is aimed at gaining practical battlefield experience and modernizing North Korea's conventional weapons systems.
