VisitNorth Korea Sends Over 100 Missiles, 5M Shells to Russia; Training in Saratov Reported
Nov 29, 2024, 02:23 PM
North Korea has significantly increased its military support to Russia in its ongoing war against Ukraine. According to Ukrainian military intelligence, as cited by Interfax-Ukraine and the GUR, Pyongyang has supplied Russia with over 100 KN-23 and KN-24 short-range ballistic missiles, more than 100 heavy artillery systems, and over 5 million large-caliber artillery shells. Among the artillery systems are 60 M-1989 'Koksan' self-propelled guns, which are reportedly being used for training at the Saratov Artillery College in Russia. The arms transfers, which began last month, also include 170-mm self-propelled guns and 240-mm anti-aircraft guns. The United States has corroborated intelligence that North Korea is preparing additional arms shipments to Russia, further fueling Moscow's war effort.
