VisitNorth Korea Sends 10,000 Soldiers to Support Russia in Ukraine
Oct 28, 2024, 09:31 AM
North Korea is reportedly sending thousands of soldiers to Russia to support its military efforts in Ukraine. According to sources, 5,000 elite soldiers from the DPRK are being transferred to the Kursk region by Monday, with additional deployments planned. Reports indicate that the soldiers are being transported from Vladivostok to western Russia by Il-76 transport planes. South Korean intelligence documents suggest that a second group of North Korean soldiers will soon deploy to Russia, with a total of approximately 10,000 troops expected. A group of 1,500 is already training in the Far East. However, there are concerns about the effectiveness of these troops, as many are young, inexperienced, and potentially malnourished. Analysts and reports from the Wall Street Journal suggest that these soldiers may not be well-prepared for the brutal trench warfare in Ukraine. The Pentagon has declined to confirm the exact locations of these troops but believes they are moving towards the Kursk region.
