VisitNorth Korea Prepares to Send Additional Troops, Kamikaze Drones, Ballistic Missiles to Russia, South Korean Military Sources Say
Dec 23, 2024, 07:58 AM
North Korea is reportedly preparing to deploy additional troops and military equipment to Russia as part of its support for Moscow's ongoing war against Ukraine. South Korean military intelligence has indicated that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is planning to rotate or increase its troop presence in Russia and is also beginning to produce and supply kamikaze drones. This assessment aligns with reports of North Korea increasing its arms shipments to Russia, which include older ammunition as well as advanced weaponry such as ballistic missiles and rocket launchers. The deepening military cooperation between North Korea and Russia is seen as a response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with North Korea receiving cash and oil from Russia in exchange for its military support.
