VisitNorth Korea Fires Seven Ballistic Missiles Ahead of U.S. Election, Following ICBM Test
Nov 5, 2024, 02:18 AM
North Korea fired multiple ballistic missiles, including several KN-25 short-range missiles, toward the Sea of Japan on Tuesday morning at approximately 7:30 a.m., according to confirmations from South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff and Japan's government. The launches included at least seven missiles with an altitude of about 100 kilometers and a range of approximately 400 kilometers, as reported by Japan's Defense Ministry. The missile tests come just hours before U.S. voters head to the polls in a closely contested presidential election and follow last week's test of North Korea's longest-range intercontinental ballistic missile yet. The missiles were launched from North Korea's western coast and landed outside Japan's territorial waters. South Korea's military and international observers are monitoring the situation closely.
