May 26, 2024, 06:12 PM
North Korea has accused the United States and South Korea of increasing espionage activities around the inter-Korean border. According to state media KCNA, North Korea alleges that the U.S. and South Korea have been flying spy planes and breaching the maritime border. In response, North Korea has vowed military action if its sovereignty and security are violated. Additionally, North Korea has notified Japan of its plans to launch a satellite rocket between May 27 and June 4. The Japanese coast guard has issued navigational warnings, and a NOTAM warning has been posted for airspaces near several Japanese islands due to the potential use of antiballistic missiles to intercept the rocket. Yonhap reported that many Russian experts have traveled to North Korea to assist in developing a second spy satellite.
