Nintendo has officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to its popular Switch console. The new device is scheduled for release in 2025, with additional details to be shared during a Nintendo Direct presentation on April 2. The Switch 2 features a larger screen, bigger magnetic Joy-Con controllers with an updated joystick design to address Joy-Con drift, and an improved kickstand. It will be backward compatible with existing Switch games, both physical and digital, and will also support Switch 2 exclusive games. Nintendo plans to hold public hands-on events in multiple cities, including New York from April 4-6, Los Angeles from April 11-13, and Dallas from April 25-27.
