Nintendo has announced plans to permanently shut down the Nintendo Switch eShop and related online services in China. The process will begin on March 31, 2026, and will be completed by May 15, 2026. Tencent, which operates the Nintendo Switch in China, is overseeing the gradual shutdown. This decision is reportedly linked to the exit of a network service provider, though further details have not been disclosed.
