VisitNIH Scientists, Under Fauci, Received $710M in Royalties During Pandemic
Jun 2, 2024, 10:27 PM
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and its scientists collected $710 million in royalties from drug makers during the pandemic, from late 2021 through 2023. This information, which the NIH attempted to conceal, reveals significant financial ties between the agency and pharmaceutical companies. Notably, 97% of these royalties went to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), led by Dr. Anthony Fauci. On average, each of the 260 NIAID scientists received $2.65 million in royalties. Additionally, OpenTheBooks uncovered that from 2009 to 2021, NIH scientists received $325 million in royalties, with payments doubling during the pandemic to a total of $1.036 billion.
