Minaj claimed the pre-rolled marijuana found in her bags belonged to her security team. Despite marijuana being legal in Amsterdam, possession while attempting to leave the country is prohibited. Following her arrest, Minaj was fined and released, and the Dutch police released an apology. The incident led to the postponement of her Manchester concert.
