Canadian golfer Nick Taylor clinched his fifth PGA Tour victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii, defeating Nico Echavarria in a playoff. Taylor produced a remarkable eagle-birdie-birdie finish, including a chip-in eagle on the 18th hole to tie for the lead at 16-under par. In the playoff, both players birdied the first hole before Taylor secured the win with a birdie on the second, improving his playoff record to 3-0. This marks Taylor's third consecutive playoff victory, following wins at the 2024 WM Phoenix Open and the 2023 RBC Canadian Open.
