Oct 15, 2024, 08:46 PM
NFL owners have unanimously approved a $1.4 billion renovation plan for the Jacksonville Jaguars' stadium, dubbed the 'Stadium of the Future'. The renovation is set to keep the Jaguars in Jacksonville for at least another 30 years. The new stadium, EverBank Stadium, is expected to be ready by 2028, with the team playing reduced capacity games in 2026 and relocating for the 2027 season. Jaguars owner Shad Khan presented the plan, which is anticipated to position Jacksonville for a future Super Bowl. The approval marks a significant milestone for one of the NFL's smallest markets. The project is part of the 1stdowntownjax initiative.
