In Week 1 of the 2024 season, 17 field goals of 50+ yards have been successfully made, surpassing the previous record of 15 set in Week 3 of the 2023 season. This week also tied for the most 50+ yard field goals in a Week 1, matching the 11 made in 2022. Dustin Hopkins of the Cleveland Browns contributed significantly to this milestone, making a 51-yard field goal with 9:23 left in the first quarter and maintaining a perfect record of 9-for-9 from 50 yards and beyond since joining the team.
