VisitNey Latorraca, Star of 'Vamp', Dies at 80 from Pulmonary Sepsis

Brazilian actor and director Ney Latorraca died on Thursday at 6:22 am at the age of 80 in Rio de Janeiro. He passed away at the Clínica São Vicente in Gávea, where he had been hospitalized since December 20 due to the worsening of prostate cancer. Latorraca died from pulmonary sepsis resulting from his illness. He was renowned for his over 50-year career in television, theater, and cinema, with notable roles such as the vampire Vlad in 'Vamp' and the character Barbosa in 'TV Pirata'. He is survived by his partner of nearly 30 years, Edi Botelho. Latorraca had prepared a will, reportedly leaving his properties to charitable institutions.
