Newborn Girl Found Abandoned on Trail in Katy Area of Northwest Harris County

A newborn girl was found abandoned on a trail near a bayou in the Katy area of northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County sheriff. The baby was discovered by a woman walking on the trail, wrapped in a blanket. Authorities are currently seeking the person seen in surveillance video leaving the newborn. Daniela Fedele and her family also came across the baby wrapped in a towel during their Saturday morning walk. The sheriff has described a man believed to be responsible for abandoning the baby.
