New York Magazine has placed its 31-year-old Washington correspondent, Olivia Nuzzi, on leave after it was revealed she had a personal relationship with 70-year-old Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The relationship allegedly began after Nuzzi wrote a profile on Kennedy in November 2023. Both Nuzzi and Kennedy have stated that the relationship was emotional and digital in nature, not physical. Kennedy is married to actress Cheryl Hines. The magazine is conducting a third-party review and expressed regret over the violation of readers' trust. Nuzzi, who is engaged to Politico’s Ryan Lizza, did not disclose the relationship to the magazine at the time.
