VisitNevada Election Day: Democrats Lead in Clark County by D+2.1 Amid Signature Concerns
Nov 5, 2024, 08:09 PM
The Nevada Secretary of State’s office has reassured voters that protocols are in place for a safe and secure election. As of midday on Election Day, Clark County reported a turnout of 68,651 voters, with Democrats leading Republicans by a margin of 1,449 votes (D+2.1 vs Reps). Democrats have garnered 21,609 votes (31.5%), Republicans 20,160 votes (29.4%), and other parties 26,882 votes (39.2%). Despite the early lead, concerns persist about ballot rejection due to signature mismatches, particularly among young voters who may not have consistent signatures. The Secretary of State highlighted this issue, noting that many young people do not have traditional signatures.
