Netherlands Delivers First of 24 F-16 Jets to Ukraine; Allocates €400 Million for Drone Development

The Netherlands has officially delivered the first F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced, stating, "This is urgently needed." The remaining aircraft of the 24 jets promised will be delivered in the coming months. During his visit to Kharkiv, Brekelmans witnessed the damage caused by Russian airstrikes and frequent air raid sirens. Additionally, the Netherlands is allocating €400 million to jointly develop drones with Ukraine, with half of the drones to be produced in the Netherlands.
