Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi held a secret meeting at the Military Intelligence Directorate near Tel Aviv to discuss preparations for a potential strike on Iran. This meeting follows Netanyahu's intelligence briefing ahead of the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah. Netanyahu has been conducting security consultations with several ministers regarding Lebanon and Iran. The decision on the attack on Iran will be made by Netanyahu, Gallant, and Halevi, while members of Israel's security cabinet will only be informed later. According to Ynet, Netanyahu and his military secretary General Roman Goffman left a cabinet meeting shortly after it began.
