Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a speech to the Knesset, confirmed that Israel conducted airstrikes on Iran on October 26, damaging a component of Tehran's nuclear program and destroying three Russian-supplied S-300 missile defense batteries around the capital. Netanyahu stated that while a specific element of Iran's nuclear program was targeted in the attack, the program as a whole has not been halted. He also revealed that Israel had destroyed the fourth S-300 battery in April. The attacks significantly degraded Iran's ballistic missile production capabilities and defense infrastructure.
