VisitNetanyahu Admits Pager Attacks on Hezbollah; Hezbollah Fires 90 Rockets at Israel, Three Injured
Nov 10, 2024, 11:44 PM
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has, for the first time, officially admitted during a government meeting that he authorized the pager explosions in Lebanon in September that targeted Hezbollah members. The attacks involved hundreds of handheld pagers and walkie-talkies exploding across Lebanon and Syria, resulting in the deaths of nearly 40 people and injuring over 3,000. Netanyahu confirmed that he approved the operation against Hezbollah despite opposition from senior security officials and the defense establishment. In response to Netanyahu's admission, Hezbollah fired over 90 rockets into northern Israel, including the Haifa Bay area. The attacks injured at least three people, with rockets striking towns and causing damage to homes and vehicles.
