NCA Leads UK-Bulgaria Operation Seizing £16.6M in Smuggler Equipment

UK law enforcement agencies have collaborated with Bulgarian authorities to prevent hundreds of inflatable boats, rubber rings, engines, and other pieces of maritime equipment worth £16.6 million from reaching people smugglers. The joint operation, led by the National Crime Agency (NCA), has resulted in 33 separate interceptions in Bulgaria. Sniffer dogs trained to detect dinghy rubber have intercepted over 120 migrant boats bound for the Channel.
