NBCUniversal has announced that it will use an AI recreation of legendary sportscaster Al Michaels' voice for its 2024 Paris Olympics coverage on Peacock. The feature, called 'Your Daily Olympic Recap on Peacock,' will provide customized daily recaps of the Olympics events. This AI-generated voice will deliver personalized video playlists of highlights, greeting users by name. NBC’s Paris Olympics coverage will also include split screen features. Al Michaels, who was initially skeptical, has given his approval after hearing the AI version of his voice, describing it as 'astonishing' and 'amazing.' The feature is set to launch on July 27, 2024.
