VisitNBCUniversal and Charter Announce Multiyear Deal Adding Free, Ad-Supported Peacock to Spectrum TV Packages
Oct 2, 2024, 01:36 PM
NBCUniversal and Charter Communications have announced a new multiyear distribution deal that includes adding Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service, to Charter's Spectrum TV packages. The deal ensures that Peacock will be available at no extra cost for most Spectrum TV Select subscribers. This agreement, which aims to maximize customer value by combining linear video and direct-to-consumer streaming, was finalized just before the previous deal expired. The new arrangement also includes an ad-supported version of Peacock for subscribers. Charter Spectrum subscribers will get Peacock for free, and no channels went dark during the transition.
